Sibling Advocacy

  • This group is for siblings of Intellectual and/or Developmentally Disabled adults. It is here that you can connect with other local siblings in similar situations.  As the possible next generation of caregivers for our disabled brothers and sisters, we need to have as much information and support as possible.  On this page you will find information on local, state, and federal laws that pertain to your disabled sibling.  You will also find links to contact information for state and federal Representatives and Senators.  There is also information on the future planning process provided by The Arc’s Center for Future Planning.  Please check back here or on the Facebook page (Info coming soon) for updated details on laws, advocating opportunities, and how you can help your disabled brothers and sisters lead self-determined lives.
